EXCITING NEWS!

Wow! We've got a lot of great, exciting news!

First, on Sunday, August 23 from 5pm-8pm, we are having a FREE Video viewing event at a local business in Austin, TX. We will be watching WGI videos from 2009 world championships! Food and drinks will be provided at no cost, and we even have some cool door prizes to give away!

ATX Auditions will be held September 13, 2009 for the "A" guard. On September 20, 2009, we will be having auditions for a "Senior" guard as well- for performers 23 and older only. Information about ATX auditions will be available at the Video Viewing event.

On Tuesday, August 11, director Judy Easton and 2009 performer Steven went to a meeting at the new Cedar Park Center in Cedar Park, TX. Cedar Park Center is a new events center that will be opening in September, and ATX Winterguard was offered the opportunity to work concessions at the new facility!

ATX Performers can work concession stands to earn money toward their performer tuition in 2009! In fact, Cedar Park Center has more than 42 events scheduled. In addition, we are invited back to work events for The University of Texas home football games, and our name is on a list to work Dell Diamond concessions for Round Rock Express baseball and other events! The total is well over 100 possible events that performers can work in order to pay off their tuition costs!

2010 promises to be an exciting year for ATX Winterguard, as we welcome consultants Michael James - a WGI legend!- Nhu Trinh, and Delia Tovar Botbol in addition to returning staff members from 2009, and the addition of Joel Taylor and Troy Zapata!
