Been talking to a well-known designer who is a friend-of-a-friend, and who has expressed interest in helping us get this guard off the ground! I hope this works out for all involved. Also have some people tentatively on board to write work and movement as well!!
I just don't want to jump the gun and announce people only to have something come up where they can't be available. Hopefully everything can be ironed out soon so we can start creating our budget and figuring out expenses/dues/etc. May even have a few relationships with fundraising companies (not involving selling stuff), that may work out well!
Each week a few more people approach us about joining up, or asking how they can help, which is awesome and exciting! Hope to get a chance to meet with them and have some more firm information and updates soon. It's only June, but there's already a buzz in the Austin area about our new guard!
